Childhood Friends, Abhay and Sumit, made a deal about their kids. As per the deal, Abhay's son, Arnav, was supposed to get married to Sumit's Eldest Daughter, in future. Abhay's wife, Asha, and Sumit's wife, Kalyani, also agreed to it. But the Teenager Arnav was against of it. He and his next door neighbor, Lavanya, liked each other. They had one more friend of them, Deekshant, another Childhood Friends Trio.
When Sumit was out of town, on a long official trip, Abhay got framed for taking bribe. He had a heart attack and lost his life. Asha and Arnav became homeless. After a lot of struggle, Arnav completed his education and became a Police Officer. He proposed Lavanya for marriage. But Lavanya rejected him because of his Non - Luxurious and Simple Life. She married a rich businessman, Dhananjay. Arnav got devastated. Asha thought about bringing a new ray of hope in his life. She sent a letter to Sumit, reminding about his and Abhay's promise.
Sumit and Kalyani had 2 daughters, Sandhya and Vidhya, with 1 adopted daughter, Aadhya. Years back, someone left her in front of their house wrapped in a piece of fabric, with a Gold Pendant of Goddess Durga in her neck. Sumit showed Asha's letter to Kalyani. She said, "Sandhya likes Suraj, her friend and Vidhya wants to study abroad. What if Aadhya gets married to Arnav?" Sumit didn't find it right, still, he agreed. Aadhya also said yes, as she wanted to pay back for their kindness to her.
Unwillingly, Arnav got married to Aadhya. On their wedding day, suddenly, Lavanya, came to Arnav's home, with teary eyes. Deekshant took her outside and told her to stay there only. Arnav also couldn't go anywhere outside. But, on his first night, leaving Aadhya all alone, he jumped from his room's window, to meet Lavanya. This made Aadhya know about her Zero Worth in that marriage.
