Yes, such places will give you Opportunities to Showcase your Talents & Platforms to Present Yourself to the World. But, Creating Skills & Talents........Are you sure? 

Sudarshan Pattnaik, The Famous Sand Artist. He made various Sand Sculptures of Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, Goddess Durga, Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Sculptures Congratulating Indian Men's Cricket Team on Winning T20 World Cup 2024, Welcoming Covid Vaccine in India. Just like Sudarshan Pattnaik, World is full of Amazing Talents. But were these Talents Created? By any School, College or University? If yes, then how? If no, then by whom? Talent is Nourished, Not Created. We can Encourage a Child, Who Can Sing, to become a Singer. But, we can't make a Dissonant (बेसुरा) sing a Melodious Song.

A Potter uses a Potter's Wheel or a Mold to craft Clay Pots. But, there's a woman, somewhere in an Indian Village, who can create Clay Mouse, without any Potter's Wheel or Mold. Talent is Scattered Everywhere. We just need to Look For It. It can be anywhere. Within our homes, our families, our neighborhood, our surroundings, anywhere. It's an Inbuilt Feature like the By Default Apps installed in our Smart Phones. We are Not Responsible for Installing Them. But Yes, We are Responsible for Updating Them. Nourish the Talent, Appreciate It, Encourage It. Don't try to Create It.

Ayush was an Elementary School Kid. He drew a Family Picture. Karan, his father, came back from work, tired & exhausted. Ayush came to him with his drawing. Karan saw it and said, "Do you call this a Drawing? Not even a single line, single curve is drawn correctly." Ayush took it back. He got 95% in his final exams. He was Class Topper. Karan said, "What about lost 5%? You are a Loser." He won Inter School Cricket Competition. He took 5 wickets and scored 90 runs. He was awarded the Best Bowler & Best Batsman. Karan's reaction, "Loser! Why only 5 wickets? What about Century?"

Karan didn't ever encourage Ayush for anything. For him, Ayush was always a Loser. On the other hand, Karan's brother, Arjun, was just reverse. He always praised Ayush for all his efforts & achievements. For him, Ayush was always a Winner. Not because he always won. Because he always kept trying to be better.

Along with the passing time, Ayush stopped trying to make Karan happy with anything. The only person he cared about was Arjun, his Uncle. He became distant from Karan & closer to Arjun. Instead of proving himself to Karan, he focused only on improving himself. Thanks to Arjun's motivation. After a few years, Ayush became a Happy Adult, with a Healthy & Strong Bond with Arjun. Karan was Left All Alone.

Life is also like that. If you find someone always criticizing you, never ever praising, even encouraging you, don't let that person disappoint you. Encourage Yourself, Motivate Yourself, Praise Yourself. Keep telling yourself, "You'll Do It!" Make Yourself Better Than Yourself. There's No Point in Proving Yourself to such Ungrateful People. Just Focus on Improving Yourself. Don't Beg to them. Make them Regret.

Uniqueness Deserves Dignity, Not Comparison

Hema, Rekha, Jaya and Sushma are Cousin Sisters. They all are Well Educated Working Married Women. They all are supposed to maintain a Work Life Balance. Sushma is having a 24 X 7 House Helper for all Household Chores and Baby Sitting. Jaya's House Helper comes in Morning and Evening only. She chose Child Day Care Center for her Baby. Rekha manages her Household Chores on her own. Her Family Takes Care of her Baby, whoever is at Home. Hema Resigned from her Job.

They all met at a Family Gathering. All 4 Sisters were happy to see each other, having a Good Time. But some people were Not So Happy to see all this. These Not So Happy People started comparing them. Some were praising Hema for Sacrificing her Career for her Family. Some were appreciating Rekha for Managing her Career, her House & her Child, altogether, on her Own. Some were supporting Jaya for Protecting her Career by Using her Money to Take Care of her House & Baby. Some were favoring Sushma for Putting her Career as her First Priority Without Affecting her Family & Baby.

This was a surprise to all 4 sisters. They didn't ever compare themselves to each other. They felt shocked. So, they started comparing these Not So Happy People. They compared their Make Up, Dresses, Hair Styles, Accessories, Footwear, Perfumes, and many more. Those Not So Happy People started shouting.

All 4 Sisters Burst into Laugh. They said, "Do you understand now, how does it feel to be compared? You have your own taste & choice in dresses, hair & make up styles, accessories, footwear & perfumes. Similarly, We also have Our Own Styles in Carrying Our Responsibilities. Accept It or Neglect It. But Don't Compare It. Our Different Personalities Make Us Dignified, Not Comparable. We are Different. We are Unique. We have Our Own Choices, Our Own Styles. And That's Perfectly OK."

Beware of Gossipers!!!! (चुगलखोरों से सावधान !!!!)

I was living in a Working Women's PG. One day, the Care Taker was badmouthing one of my PG friends. It made me uncomfortable. I wanted to leave. I had a missed call in my phone from my another PG friend. Talking about calling her back, I left from there.

Next day, I went to the PG Owner to talk about something. That friend of mine, who was badmouth by the Care Taker, was already there. She asked me about that. I got shocked and said, "How do you know?" My shocking reaction confirmed her complaint. I asked her again that who told her. She said that she can't tell the name. Then I asked her that how did she know that I knew about it. She said, the same person who told her about that badmouthing.

After few days, I went to her and told her the name of the person who told her about that badmouthing. This time, she was shocked and said, "How do you know?" Instead of answering her, I asked her, "If this person knows that I was there, wouldn't I also know that who was there?" I continued, "Now tell me 1 thing. Do you really think that this person is actually your friend?" She said, "Yes, of course!" I asked her, "Why?" She got confused. I said, "If she was really offended by those bad words about you, why didn't she say anything herself at that time only? Why did she provoke you?" I saw her face. I said, "Today, she gossiped about someone else to you. Tomorrow, she'll definitely gossip about you to others."

A Real Friend will Never Provoke You by Gossiping about 'How Others Backbite You'. A True Friend will either Make Them Stop That Backbiting or Confront Such People In Your Favor. Someone, who Gossips about Others, is Not A Friend to Anyone. Such a Person is himself a Backbiter. Today, For You. Tomorrow, Against You. Stay Away from such people. They are Not Just Dangerous. They are Toxic.

Boss v/s Leader

Aman, a Software Engineer, is working in an MNC since last 2 years. He is the Best & Most Productive Employee of his team. All the Challenging & Major Projects are assigned to him only. He is also the Trainer to most of the Trainees. All his Trainees & Junior Employees appreciate him a lot. He is The Most Favorite of all of them. He is also paid a Handsome Salary Package. Still, he wants to quit.

Shocked? Handsome Salary, High Reputation, Dignified Position, still he wants to quit! Why? Once I heard somewhere, 'Students Don't Leave Schools, They Leave Teachers'. In organizations, Employees Don't Leave Company, They Leave Their Seniors. Aman is also the same. He doesn't want to leave his salary, reputation, dignity or position. He wants to leave His Boss, and work under a Leader.

Aman is not the only one. We all are the same. During our Academics, what kind of Teachers/Faculty Members do we like? The one who only instructs and order? Or the one who support and motivate us? Of course, the latter one. Those are the Teachers who become our Mentors. They Guide us towards our goals. Regarding the former one, they are the Teachers, who just assign a task for us along with a deadline. The former ones tell us, 'What To Do?' The latter ones tell us, 'How To Do?'

The same is with Boss & Leaders. Bosses are like Instructors. Leaders are The Guides. Bosses Want Results. Leaders Offer Cooperation. Bosses Rule The Team. Leaders Lead The Team. Bosses Pass Orders, Leaders Hold Hands. Bosses believe in 'I'. Leaders believe in 'We'. Teams Ruled By Bosses May Not Reach Their Goals. But, for sure, Teams Led By Leaders Always Hit The Bulls Eye.

Life - A Series of Choices

My mother had to choose between RCT and Tooth Removal. She chose the latter one. Afterwards, the dentist suggested her to have ice creams. Ice Cream Parlor had various options. Bars, Bricks, Cones, Cups. My mother chose Cups. Cups were in many flavors, Butterscotch, Chocolate, Coffee, Mango, Vanilla. She chose Mango & Vanilla. Now, Cup Sizes. Small, Medium, Large. She chose Medium. If I were to choose, it would be Large Size Chocolate Flavor Cones.

Life is also like that. Every day, every moment, we are given a lot of options. In every condition, we have to make our own choice. But what should be our criteria? What Others Want or What We Want? What Makes Others Happy or What Satisfies Us? How to decide? Simple. Who is going to be affected? Others or Us? If others, then prioritize them. But if Only You, then Put Yourself First.

My mother chose Tooth Removal over RCT because to have One Time Relaxation. Cup Ice Cream over Bars, Bricks & Cones, to have a whole 1 Ice Cream in 1 go. Mango & Vanilla over Butterscotch, Chocolate & Coffee because it's her Taste. Medium Size Cup over Small & Large to have Ice Cream for both, Remedy & Taste. All these choices affect only her. So, only her choice matters.

In our lives also, we may have different choices, based on different point of views. It's OK. It doesn't make any of us right or wrong. We all have our own Experiences, Tastes, Likes & Dislikes. So, we have our own Choices too. Medium Mango & Vanilla Flavor Cups, and Large Chocolate Flavor Cones, both are Right. None is Wrong. Former for My Mother and Latter for Me. Make Your Choice, Be Different. It's Okay.

Different Choices Only Make Us Different, Not Right or Wrong.

Generation Gap or Generation Synchronization?

I was a Computer Science Instructor in a School. One day, Hindi Teacher, Karuna Ma'am, gave me a call. She asked me to get the Pictures of some Renowned Hindi Authors & Poets. She told me all those names. I said, "Ma'am! Right now, I am here in Examination Cell, Ground Floor. Computer Lab is on 1st Floor. I have already forgotten half of the names. By the time, I'll reach Computer Lab, I'll forget the remaining ones. I studied Hindi for the Last Time in Class X. And you are a Hindi Genius. Please come to the lab. I'll search out for the pictures as per the names told by you. Please confirm and choose the most prominent one." She asked, "Why do I need to confirm them?" I told her, "Ma'am! May be I'll get a picture of some other person with same name. After all, it's Internet. It has pictures of various persons with same names. You'll identify the right one. I can choose a wrong one."

We reached the Lab. She kept me telling the names. I kept searching for them. Finally, we were done, with the Complete & Correct Pictures. Here, who is better? Karuna Ma'am or I? No one! We both played our own roles as per our abilities & capabilities. It's normal. No one knows everything. But, for sure, everyone knows something. I saw a child, practicing hard to walk. He fell, he got up. He taught me, Never Give Up.

These 2 incidents taught me 1 thing. Apart from Learning, Growth needs a lot more. It needs Respect for Others. Irrespective of their Age, Position and Relation with Us. I got to understand the Value of Zero. Although, it's a No Value Number. But, when attached to any other number, it Increases the Value of That Number, 10 Times. 

Respect Others, Grow Yourself!!!!

Sep 23, World Sign Language Day. A Language of Gestures. Usually, it is used by Deaf & Dumb People. Those who cannot Listen & Speak. So, basically, the day is for Deaf & Dumb People only. What about others? Those who Can Listen & Speak? Don't they use any such language? Do they always use words?

Class IV. My teacher punished some of my friends to write an apology, 50 or 100 times, in just 1 day. That day, in Lunch Break, we all friends fed those Punished Friends of ours, before feeding ourselves. In year 2004, my mother woke me up on my B'Day, with a Set of Earrings as my B'Day Gift. Jan 2000. I was travelling by train with my family. It was a Cold & Chilly Day. Our train got extensively late. We didn't have mobile phones or Internet to entertain ourselves. Suddenly, the atmosphere got musical. All the passengers, mostly strangers, had a game of Antakshari. Our Boring Time changed into an Amazing Time, an Unforgettable One. 

I wasn't sure about clearing my Final Theory Semester Exams in Graduation. Better to say, I was Scared to get Failed. All the people around me said, "You'll Do It!", "You'll Make It Happen!" And I Made It! An Airplane flew over my house. It's noise made a Baby of Our Guest, burst out crying hard. I quickly pick him up and held him in my arms. Just 2 minutes, and no more crying.

In all these 5 scenarios, other than the 4th one, no one said even a single word. Still, said a lot. Result, Confidence, Motivation, Relaxation, Support, Trust, all of them got elevated. About the 4th scenario, that's also a Motivation Technique. These are The 5 Love Languages. Acts of Service, Receiving Gifts, Quality Time, Words of Affirmation & Physical Touch. We know, 'A Picture Speaks More Than A Thousand Words'. Similarly, A Gesture Speaks More Than A Zillion Words. So, Keep Speaking Love.

It's Good 👌🏻 To Be A Rose 🌹 With Thorns

I was in Class VII. My friend and I were wondering in our School Garden. We found a Very Beautiful Rose there. We wanted to pluck it. We asked the gardener, "Can we pluck it?" We were scared that he might be angry. But he didn't. He asked us, "Why do you want to pluck it?" We said, "It's very beautiful." He said, "It is beautiful because it is safe. Once you'll pluck it, it'll lose its beauty. Do you want it?" He continued, "Do you know, why roses have thorns?" We said, "No." He said, "So that no one can pluck them. Thorns hurt only those who try to hurt The Rose." We apologized to him and left.

Some People are also like Roses. They seem to be arrogant and rude. They are The Most Non - Social Persons. They might be Scary People. But why? Were they always like that only? If not, then why now? It's quite easy to judge a person, but it's the toughest to understand the same one.

These People are The Roses With Thorns. We focus only on Piercing of The Thorns but not it's Reason. This is not because it's not understood or visible. It's because We Don't Want To See and Understand It. We feel happy to criticize the people for being rude. We don't feel curious to know that why are they so?

We can't pluck a Rose as Thorns are there to save it. Similarly, Some Persons Save Themselves With Thorns of Arrogance, Rudeness, and Non - Social Behavior. They know or they might have experienced their non - justified usage by others. They know How To Help and Love. But they also know that how others are going to use their kindness for their own selfishness. Just Like Roses, People also know that, Without The Thorns of Arrogance, They Will Lose Their Beauty.

So, It's Good 👌🏻 To Be A Rose 🌹 With Thorns.

Evolution Leads To Advancement & Growth

I saw an Orangutan in a Zoo. It was a Center of Attraction for all the visitors. Many of them weren't even aware about it. It was a surprise for them. Orangutan, in hindi, वनमानुष. "What is वनमानुष?" Zoo Persons said, "It's an Ancestor of Humans."

Orangutan, The Real Humans. Humans were originally Monkeys. Those Original Monkeys, The Real Human Ancestors, are Orangutans. Humans, may be, are The Greatest Evolution ever, in the mankind history. What if this evolution wouldn't have occurred? What if all of us were still Orangutans? It's not just humans to pass through evolution. Humans also brought a lot of evolution.

I remember that traditional method of washing clothes. Some used to do it with washing paddle or laundry bat, while others used to beat the clothes on flogging stones. Those big, or better to say, grand water coolers, used during summers. Black & White Televisions with just 1 Channel, Doordarshn or DD1, slow moving ceiling & portable fans, clay pitcher (मिट्टी का घड़ा) for cold water, bio-scope (a travelling cinema), audio cassettes & cassette players.

Today, we have washing machines to wash clothes, air conditioners to keep homes cool, LED Televisions with multiple channels, remote controlled fast moving fans, refrigerators not just for cool water but for much more, multiplex cinemas, MP3 music & .MP3 players. This is called Evolution. Evolution to Advancement. Evolution to Growth. Evolution to Future. Evolution to Create A New & Improved World.

Keep Evolving, Keep Learning, Keep Growing.

Sweet Memory

It was year 2005. I was in 1st Year of BCA. The whole class was having fun. We all were chatting and laughing with each other. But, in a corner, a girl was sitting quietly, happily smiling to see us all laughing. It was strange! Why isn't she having fun with us? Is she unhappy with us? If yes, then why is she smiling?

Being curious, I asked her, "आप किसी से बात क्यों नहीं करते?" ("Why don't you talk to anyone?") She replied, "I don't know Hindi." At that moment, I looked her face. Again I asked her, "Are you from North East?" She said, "I am from Manipur." I asked her name, she said, "Mani Tombi". Mani was actually a Jackpot for me, but I didn't realize it.

Since that day, I talked to her everyday, just like my all other friends. The only difference, we used to talk in English. Other than me, there was a boy named Amit, whom she could talk to. If anyone in the class had to say something to her or understand what she was saying, they all used to call either Amit or me. We two were like Translators between Mani and the whole class.

I felt so good to make her feel comfortable. It made me feel delighted. As if, it was a kind of achievement. But, somewhere, I lost a Golden Opportunity. I broke the Language Barrier through a Common Language, English. But, I missed to enter the world of a New Language, Manipuri. We were together for 2 years. It was a sufficient time to learn at least Basics of Manipuri.

Today, I really don't know Mani's whereabouts. But I still hope that may be 1 day, I'll get another chance to enhance my skill set by learning a New Language and a New Culture. May be New Cuisine too! Today, I know just this, Hello in Manipuri is called Khurumjari. So, Khurumjari Manipur!

Double Dhamaal

Everything happens for a reason. Something Good is always behind every bad thing. Hidden, but it is. Hard to believe but not impossible. I got to know this since I was born.

I was born on 16 Sep, just 1 day before 15 days of Pitrapaksh. According to Hindu Mythology, it's inauspicious to buy/start something new during this time. Mostly, my birthday falls in those 15 days only. So, I couldn't put on My Brand New B'Day Dress on my B'Day. Also, Sep is Exam Month. So, No B'Day Celebration Planning. Isn't it Bad? Yes, it is....🙁🙁

Now, here is That Something Good behind this Bad Thing. As per Hindu Vikramaditya Calendar, I was born on Anant Chaturdashi. So, I always used to put on My Brand New B'Day Dress on Anant Chaturdashi. Now, it's Not Brand New. But, Still a New One. And I had a chance to have 2 B'Day Dresses. 1 for School in Day & 1 for B'Day Party in Evening.

Well, that's not all. I always had 2 B'Day Cakes every year. 1 on Sep 16 & 1, Indian Style Cake, Halwa, on Anant Chaturdashi. Also, 2 B'Day Parties, 1 on Sep 16, with Family, Friends & Neighbors, & 1 on Anant Chaturdashi, just a Family Celebration. Regarding Celebration Planning, Not At All My Headache. I only had to enjoy it.

This is called DOUBLE DHAMAAL. 2 B'Day Dresses 👗👗, 2 B'Day Cakes 🎂🎂, 2 B'Day Parties 🎊🎊. All this, Without Any Celebration Planning Headache....😀😀😀😀

So, if Something Wrong has happened, then, for sure, Something Good is about to happen.

My Day!!!!

It was 16 Sep. I'm not sure about the year. But it was somewhere between 2001 and 2006, inclusively. Whole day was passed. It was Evening. All were back from their respective works. Suddenly, the house had an almost World War. Well, the issue was quite comic or may be hilarious. "Which Restaurant to go for Dinner?" They all were arguing. This Restaurant, That Restaurant. And I was having too much fun.

Actually, it was My B'Day! That day, everyone was so busy in making this World's Biggest and The Most Complicated Decision. And I, The B'Day Girl, was lying calmly on my bed, enjoying watching the whole scene silently. Isn't it Strange! It was My B'Day! And Only I was Relaxed!

At a point, I thought, "Priya! Relax! Dinner will be at home only." Initially, my neck was constantly moving with the Change in Speaker. But later, I thought, "I can't hurt my neck anymore." I laid down with my eyes closed. Actually, I wanted to burst out my laughter. But I knew, I can't. It could be dangerous.

Finally, all 3 of them, I mean the Argument Participants, came to a common conclusion. It was Much More Comic. Much Much Much Much Much More than their Age Long Argument. Telephone Directory! Yes! The Hotels & Restaurants Section was searched to look for all the possibilities in the city. And here came the Final Decision, Hotel Dasaprakash, South Indian Specialist.

My Best & Most Favorite B'Day Memory. South Indian Thali, Competition to Finish It Fully and Ice Cream with The Height of Burj Khaleefa. Oh Yes! About Competition, Father - Daughter Team Won against Mother - Son Team! One more thing, Tomorrow is Anant Chaturdashi, again My B'Day, as per Hindu Vikramaditya Calendar! Yippee!!!! Happy B'Day To Me!!!! 🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂

"Hey! Why didn't you say anything? He insulted you so harshly, without any reason! You were never ever like this! What has happened to you?" Radhika asked Rukmani. Rukmani replied, "Actually, Madhava doesn't like my anger." Radhika was shocked. "So? Does it mean that you've to tolerate all the injustice?" "Radhika! Try to understand. I can't lose Madhava. I've to be like this to be in his life." "Wow! Amazing! Simply Amazing! Congratulations for this Paid Value!"

"Rukmani! Madhava humiliated you so much in front of his family! Why didn't you say anything?" "It's because he won't talk to me if I'd said anything. Now, at least he'll talk to me." "Again! Congratulations for this Paid Talk!"

"Hey! Why are you buying a Blue Dress? It's your Birthday Dress. Pick the Yellow one, your favorite color! Why Blue?" "Madhava hates Yellow. He doesn't even look at me if I wear anything in Yellow. He likes me in Blue." "Here you go again! Congratulations for this Paid Attention!"

It's Rukmani's B'Day Party. She and all the guests are waiting for Madhava for Cake Cutting. After waiting for long, Madhava came along with a woman, dressed in Yellow. He gave a Very Special B'Day Gift to Rukmani, Divorce Papers. He also introduced that woman as His Girlfriend.

Rukmani got Blank. No Reaction. No Expression. "What did I do wrong?", she asked. Radhika said, "You Beg!" Radhika continued, "Rukmani! Love is Precious. But Respect is Priceless. You sold your respect to buy love."

Believe in Your Dreams, They Come True!!!!

It was year 1989. I was watching a Bollywood Movie in a Single Screen Theater. While moving outside the hall, I said, "पापा आप भी इतना बड़ा टीवी लेकर आना" (Papa, you should also bring a TV this big.) At that time, all those people there laughed at me. And guess what, after some years, we got Home Theater Systems in the market. The imagination of a 2 years old child came true. Although, I didn't create it.

When Wright Brothers said, "We can Fly!!!!", people must have laughed on them. When Thomas Edison thought about Electric Bulb, people must have laughed on him too. Charles Babbage, must also have faced such reactions, while creating Computers. Steam Engine, Theory of Evolution by Charles Darwin, Plants as a Life Form by Sir J. C. Bose, all must have been a Madness in the beginning.

Today, we have airplanes, helicopters, fighter planes, even personal jets, LED Lights, a Mini Computer, a Smart Phone, in our pockets, Bullet Trains. Creation of new molecules with specific functions, is possible because of Theory of Evolution. Hybrid Plants are the results of concept given Sir J. C. Bose.

Every new thing, which is not in existence, dreaming about it is always a Madness for people. So, Imagine!!!! Keep Imagining!!!! Imagination is the First Step towards Creation, Evolution, Invention. It's true that Old is Gold. But, we also need to remember, that New is Diamond. Create Something New Today and Create Gold For Tomorrow.

What would you prefer? Being No. 1 or Being The Only One? Think carefully. You need to Beat Others To Be No. 1. But you need to Beat A Lot Within Yourself To Be The Only One. Former is Easy but Latter is Not Everyone's Cup of Tea.

Pole Star is The Brightest Star. Why? Because its shine is brightest among all other stars. Still it has its friends, all the other stars. Fishes swim in water altogether. Birds fly in the sky, again, altogether. And they all are happy, being together. People plan Trips along with their Family or Friends. They feel happy having fun together. But is it mandatory to be with someone for being happy?

What if you don't have anyone? What if no one shares your happiness, excitements, sorrows? What if no one is there to listen to you, to clear your doubts, to motivate you? What does it mean to you? And how important is it to you? Does it mean, The End, Everything Finished, No Hope Left? No. Not at all.

It means, the people around you aren't capable enough to understand your thoughts, your emotions. They aren't capable enough to understand your doubts, your fears, your confusions. They aren't capable enough to encourage or motivate you. They aren't confident enough to raise your confidence. They are Not Good Enough. It means, you are sufficient enough for yourself, to encourage yourself, to motivate yourself. It means, you can get up, build up, create a new and improved you, yourself.

We have 8 Planets but Only Earth has Life. Stars are Numerous but Sun is The Only One. So, whenever you feel alone, remember, you aren't lonely, you're different, you are unique. Choice is Yours. Either Swim With Stream and be a Part of The Crowd. Or, Swim Against Stream, and Shine Brightly, Just Like Sun.

The Real Literacy

Today, Sep 8, 2024, The Whole World is celebrating 58th International Literacy Day. Declared by UNESCO, on Oct 26, 1966. Celebrated for the first time on Sep 8, 1967. Purpose, to highlight the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity and human rights. This year's theme, Promoting Multilingual Education: Literacy for Mutual Understanding and Peace.

But are we Really Literate? What is The Real Literacy? Is Education all about only Reading, Writing and Understanding? Is that all? No. Education is not just the ability to read and write but also a complete process of human transformation. And, where is that Human Transformation? Schools, Colleges, Society, where?

As a School Teacher, a student of mine denied to write the content in his notebook saying, "Ma'am! It's Too Hot! I'll complete it later." As a College Student, I saw one of my classmates Only During Exams!!!! And, as a Citizen, I am seeing cases like Dr. Moumita Debnath. Where is The Real Literacy, The Real Education? Actually, No Where!!!! Unfortunate but True.

For Parents, it's High Time, to Wake Up from the belief, "My Child can Never Be Wrong." Stop closing your eyes towards your child's mistakes, wrong doings and indiscipline behavior. Grand Parents also need to do this. They need to understand that Love doesn't mean Illogical Support. Such Love is Poisonous. Not just for your own child but also for the whole society. Cases like Dr. Moumita are results of such Poisonous Love Only. Education Creates not just a Literate but also a Sustainable Society.

It's normal. Family Gatherings, Workplace, Office Parties, Friends Get Together, even Our Daily Life. Whatever it is, while getting dressed up, we focus on just one thing, "लोग क्या कहेंगे?" ("What will people say?") Well, The Original Problem is, "दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा रोग, क्या कहेंगे लोग!" ("The world's biggest disease, what will people say!") And, a Very Simple Solution, "लोग क्या सोचेंगे, अगर ये भी हम ही सोचेंगे, तो फिर लोग क्या सोचेंगे?" ("What will people think, if we think this too, then what will people think?")

Beauty vs Behavior

A company was celebrating its Successful Completion of 50 Years in the Industry. Namrata, Assistant Manager, Marketing Department, was doing all the preparations. She was concerned about everyone's needs, fulfilling them all with a smile. Still, no one valued her. Suddenly, the whole crowd started praising someone. It was Urvashi, Manager, Marketing Department, who entered the venue just now.

7 Years back, Namrata and Urvashi, both joined the company as Interns. Namrata was a better performer and Urvashi was the most popular one. After all, their appearances were just opposite. Namrata had a dark skin, considered ugly while Urvashi was a fair skin woman, a beautiful goddess. Using her beauty, Urvashi got senior to Namrata.

After few days of celebration, Urvashi was in need of a big amount of money. She deceived a client about its product marketing budget. Budget told to the client was much more than what was decided by the company. On being caught, she threw the blame of negligence on Namrata. As always, the management believed her only. Namrata was told to submit her resignation. She wasn't even listened by anyone.

Urvashi continued such embezzlement again and again. She was caught only after making the company bankrupt. The management was shameful for their injustice towards Namrata. They wanted her back. But it was too late now. Namrata joined their biggest competitor company as a Senior Manager. With her capabilities, valued over her looks, she made her new company the best in the industry.
