In school, I studied a story, 'Sparrows' by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas. It's about a peasant Rahim Khan. He was considered The Most Rude Person in his village. He was disliked by all. Not just villagers, even his own wife, his sons didn't like him at all. They all left him all alone. And, in the end, he died. But why was he like that? Was he bad at heart? Did he have a dirty mind? No. He was Disappointed.
Years ago, he was a young, cooperative, cheerful, always a helping man. He had just 2 wishes in his life. 1st, he wanted to marry a girl named Radha. 2nd, he wanted to join Circus. But his family rejected both his wishes. Because of Inter Religion Marriage, he couldn't marry Radha. Circus was a Lowly Thing for his family, so he couldn't join Circus. The man, who always Helped Others to Fulfill their Wishes, was left alone with all his Broken Wishes. The man, who always Considered Others Right for all their choices, was declared Wrong for all his choices. Result, Disappointment, Irritation, Frustration. Finally, Death in Isolation. Did it make anyone regret for being Rude to him? No. Not at all.
But today, we are different. If We Are Always Considered Wrong, we don't feel disappointed, irritated or frustrated. We become Shameless! Yes! That's Right! Strange! But True! Why? Simple. We need to be scared of doing something wrong, only if we are scolded on being wrong. But if we are always going to be declared wrong, whether we did wrong or not, then what's there to be scared of?
Whatever we think, whatever we say, whatever we do, Everything is Wrong. So, Keep Being Wrong. Think Whatever You Want To Think, Say Whatever You Want To Say, Do Whatever You Want To Do. It's OK. In any case, you will be declared Wrong Only. It won't affect you at all. But yes, for sure, it'll make those so called Right People to Regret for Treating You in a Wrong Way. Irritate Them, Not Yourself.
